Design the visual identity of a cultural institution located in Paris (Le Centquatre).This visual identity will include the logo design and the complete visual identity system,taking into account its translation and applications on all necessary media:— Logo design and graphic identity proposal— Posters / Invites design (visual identity for Print)— Program layout design, printed matter & form explorations. Papers and printing techniques.— (e.g. if a square base identity, a folded square program and layout proposal)— Website design and logo animation (visual identity for Screen)— Visual identity complete manual (with written concept, design rationale)
My initial sketches started by finding ways to blend le centquatre and the number 104. The following images are said first sketches of my many attempts and visions. I would have loved to have taken the time to develop and test all of them.
I chose to look at the alphabetical and numerical names rather than using one or the other. I wanted to find a way to play with the eye and read the logo in two ways simultaneously, which I believe I have achieved.
